ChallengeTo create a service organization to bridge the digital divide that would provide live, virtual 21st century internet education to young people everywhere. It would attract a variety of students at a relatively low cost, all of which would go towards E2D, an organization committed to ending the digital-access gap. |
RoleI founded the organization and designed its website, while developing a modern, student-centric curriculum to teach web design. I set up the fundraiser and taught the inaugural course in summer 2021, with plans to continue the program in future years. |
ResultsThe inaugural iteration of the camps in June 2021 was a success, with four students participating and $200 raised. Students had positive outcomes and learned a tremendous amount in the span of a week. |
